Starter hitting flex plate Hello all, just tonight I tried to fire up my 4.8 swapped c20 and I ran into a block. The starter won't engage with the flex plate. I can pry the gears together and they will then rotate when I use the starter but it stays engaged and doesn't kick out. It is the original th350 trans in the truck and I have what I assume is a speedway flexplate and spacer kit. I installed the flywheel and then the spacer so I know it's not sticking too far out or anything and I have clearance from the torque converter as it's currently unbolted. I will say that my battery connections are held on by vice grips currently until I go buy a new battery tomorrow. I just figured I'd see if anyone else had this problem or if it's most likely because of the weak connections of the cables being held on how they are. Thanks in advance, Truman
