Lightbulb C5 cluster questions

I am using a C5 LS1 for my swap. I want to use a C5 instrument cluster.
Before a chop up my dash to make it fit I have a few questions I am hoping to get some help with.
I do not plan on running a BCM.

I believe I need a 90 ohm sender for the fuel gauge. Can I just hook the sender directly to the gauge or does it run through the BCM?
How do I turn off the the DIC warnings for Traction Control, ABS, etc?

Thank you in advance for your time!

Pretty sure you have to use the BCM for it all to work. I think those gauges use CAN signals. However it's possible that some of the early 97-98 cars use a direct gauge.

Ryeguy2006a thank you for your comment.
I ran my engine on a running stand and hooked up the cluster. The temp, oil pressure, volt, and tach all worked fine. I am hoping I can just hook up the fuel sender and it will work.
Also trying to figure out how to turn off the ABS, Traction Control, etc errors shown on the DIC. I do not think I can turn those off with HPTuners.

Back when I had a C5, the only way to disable some error messages (such as the TPMS system) was with a GM Tech2 scan tool. Not sure if you can actually program ABS and traction out.

Thanks for the info. I will see if I can talk to someone with a Tech2.
