Default Correct MAP

I have a 2005 L33 in my S10. It has an LS6 intake on it. When we put this together, we grabbed a map from a box full of spares. The first one didn't work at all. The next one did work and it fired right away. I'm not sure of the original application for the map. It runs good, but fuel milage is not the best, and dyno numbers were not impressive either. It is running rich according to my nose. I've done some reading on maps, and it appears they have an effect on fuel. I'm going to buy another map, but am wondering which would be a better fit...5.3 map, or one for an LS6. II'm leaning towards the 5.3 since that's what's in there. I know I'll have to trim the ears on the 5.3 map...not a problem.

Just for fun..

The 5.3L and the LS6 use the same MAP sensor. Since you have a LS6 intake, I would use the LS6 MAP that snaps into the stock location on the back of the LS6 intake.

I remember when my s10 swap was that clean. That was 10 years ago, and being a daily driver for around 9 of those, it sadly doesn't look like that now. Although, it's time for it to come apart, so there's hope it will be clean again.
Nice swap. Show some more of it.
