GenV VATS question

Does anybody know if a GenV engine will at least fire for a short time without VATs deleted like the old LS stuff? It's a 2018 L83, I just wanted to see if it would fire, but so far I got nothing...

Well I guess to answer my own question, no, it won't even try to start without VATS deleted. Also the starter diag needs to be disabled before it will start.

It's from actual experience. I spent Saturday trying to just get it to fire off once, but to no avail. Deleted VATS and it still wouldn't start. Had read somewhere that the starter diag had to be disabled, so did that and it started. Now if I can only figure out why it doesn't have any throttle response, I'll be good to go.

Are you using a car or truck pedal and does that match your wiring and tune?

I have a Cadillac CTS pedal, I read somewhere it was compatible with the GenV, but now I'm starting to doubt my internet gained information...
I have also read that C6 Corvette pedals will work, but I don't want to keep throwing parts at it with unsubstantiated internet information. I know the truck pedal would work, but there's no really good way to get that one to mount into the '72.
