Default Fuel Rail Questions

I’m working on installing a 5.3L (LM7) into my ‘06 Jeep TJ. The fuel rail on the 5.3 has a line and return but my Jeep only has one main line from the fuel tank. What are my options here? Is it possible to just get an aftermarket fuel rail that is returnless? Or, do I keep the return fuel rail and modify the fuel pump/sending unit somehow? Thanks.

I would check out Holley's line of in tank retrofit kits that allow you to run a return line with your stock tank.

I could be mistaken but I believe you’ll need a return style fuel pump like a walboro gss340.

I think you have two ways to go, first is to run a 5/16" return line to the tank. This will retain the regulator that's up on the intake manifold. Second is to use a Corvette style filter/regulator back near the gas tank and change the fuel rails out to returnless.

I used a Walbro 255 in tank pump and C5 FFR on my 98 Wrangler LS6 swap. It has run like a champ for over 13 years. Back when I did my swap there wasn't fuel pump kit so I had to mod the stock wrangler. Today I would go with something like Holley or maybe Novak. Single -6 SS line from gas tank to fuel rail. You shouldn't need any more than a 255 for your 5.3.

I used a Holley in-tank module with Hydramat and regulator, and capped off the return rail at the engine.
