So Im thinking about purchasing a 2008 Silverado 1500 with the 4.8l. the transmission won't shift from 2 to 3 or overdrive. Now I have a 2005 avalanche with a 4l60e trans in it which from what I've researched is what the 4.8l has. Now since there different years and different engines would I still be able to swap them?

Does the 2005 have a 15 pin harness plug that is purple or does it have a 13 pin plug which is green?
