Boosted 70 Impala Intake options I have a 6.0 paired with a s480 I'm putting in my 1970 impala. As far as intakes go I'm beating around the bush for ideas as far as clearance issues using the OE hood and also the look appeal of things. I like the looks of the Fast intakes and their low profile design but hate the price...as does everybody. What other options in your opinion would be good for this setup?

Will a truck intake fit under your hood? If so, get a Trailblazer SS intake. They are available new from Dorman. Or finda used one.

I have a 6.0 and a Holley High Ram on the 417 motorsports cut down base in a 68 impala. I have a Glass 427 hood on it but the under side is the same as stock and would clear without an modifications. Motor is in stock location. Depending on how low the car sits, you may be able to lower the motor down with the motor mounts. I am using stock perches with Moroso solid mounts. Same fit with the energy suspension poly mounts. My adaptor plates set the Holley Oil pan at the height of the chest plate.
