Any difference I swapped out a 4.3l for a 5.3l in my Silverado.
5.3l didn't come with a harness or ECM. So I'm on the hunt for a harness and ECM.
the Silverado is 4wd. I'm going GenIII DBC.
Are there and differences between 2wd and 4wd harnesses aside from maybe a connection for the 4wd indicator on the dash?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Make a trip to the local pick and pull auto salvage a find a harness/pcm from a 4wd silverado. I think the output speed sensor is located differently on the 4wd. I think it's on the tail end of the transfer case so the harness will be different

The only differences I recall was the transfer case wiring for the shift motor and 4X4 indicators. Go over to ls1swap and he has the harness information including a list of every wire in the harness.
