Default 4l80E NSS options
Working on a 69 C10 with a 502 crate motor mated to a new 4L80E. Looking for the best Neutral Safety Switch approach. Older aftermarket steering column that doesn’t have the NSS built in. No selector switch on trans itself.

Need NSS function as well as backup lights.

Should I just find the correct PNP switch and figure out the pin outs?

you can absolutely use the stock 80e PRNDL switch and wire it for NSS and backup lights.

i followed @slocaddy 's instructions for my '66 c10

Thanks, wonder if it matters whether I get the older version with one plug or the later that has two electrical plugs?

Seems like the two plugs w/pigtails are easier to get.
