Default Drive by wire problems

Hi, so I’m new to this forum stuff hopefully I’m doing it right. I’ve got a 1999 new body style GMC that originally had the v6 in it and drive by cable throttle. I swapped in a 2005 5.3 with the engine wiring harness and ecm. My problem is I’m trying to convert it to drive by wire throttle but the throttle won’t work now. Engine will idle fine, I swapped in the tac module and the pedal from the 05 so that is the same. Also have verified that pink wire going to tac has 12volts and when the throttle body gets 12volts the butterfly moves a little bit.

did you have to modify the pedal wires (lengthen/splice) any? i had to redo a connector i wired because the conn was intermentant. i would get the same symptoms : intermentant pedal response. hope you get it figured out.

let us know what you find.

so, i have a 2013 genIV 4.8 in my 1986 2wd C10. i have the factory E38 ECM (stock tune) and the '13 factory fuse (bec) box. i had to extend my pedal wires to connect them & i was getting the same/similar codes. I first verified that I had continuity at wire ends (6 wires) determined that one of my connectors I installed was not connected good. I re-connected the wire into the connector housing & re-checked continuity - it was good. i now have good pedal response & no pedal codes....for now! . hope this helps.
good luck!!
