Default 6l80e ECU compatibility

So I have a 6l80e out of a 2007 yukon denali which if I recall those year yukons ran on a E38 ECU. I have a 2009 H3 that I'm doing a engine swap(and hopefully a transmission swap) which run on a E67(pretty sure also). The H3s do run a 4l60e which communicates to the ECU much differently than a 6l80e from my understanding.

basically what I'm asking is, Is it even possible for a 6l80e to run on a E67 without the transmission going into limp mode? I couldn't find much info on the software side of things / OS as I heard the OS compatibility can be super picky, and from what I know the T-case module does not care about the transmission at all except for I think a couple simple signals?

yeah I looked there before, didn't see the FB video originally but just watched it. really the only thing the 6l80e needs from my understanding is the CAN data, I'm not sure what info the TCM needs from the ECU, I doubt many if anyone really knows beyond GM engineers. If its not much complex information I don't see why it couldn't be easily figured out then

Dillpickle1, your swap will be much more straight forward as you should be able to use your stock ECU. The difficult part for you will be finding a TCU, OS and corresponding tune that will all work together. Start with the 09ish Tahoe/Suburban/Silverado tunes and see what OS and TCU they are using with the 6l80e's. Hopefully you can find ones that all jive together. If you do, you'll need to do a segment swap in HP tuners or similar to allow everything to communicate properly.
