Another, another, another 911 ls swap
Alright, now for the details. I am performing the swap on a 2001 911 C2. It is originally a 3.4 automatic. My uncle bought it brand new back in 2001 and i bought it from him 3 years ago. I bought it with 52k miles and daily drove it UNTIL i believed i heard a knocking. I then let the car sit for 18 months. I recently took it to the porsche dealership for a diagnosis on the engine to find out what exactly what is wrong with the engine so i could list it for sale accordingly. Fortunately/unfortunately the dealership said its operating as designed and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. So maybe I should've had it diagnosed before i bought half the parts for the swap. Oh well you live and you learn, no more jumping to conclusions. So, as we stand, the engine and automatic transmission have been removed and are available for sale if anybody is interested in those (72842 miles). I have removed the automatic shifter housing and shifter cable and replaced it with the manual shifter and manual shifter cables. I also installed the blue hard clutch lines and the manual pedal set. I think thats as far as I've gotten so far.
For reference the new engine is a 6.2 ls3 (from a 2010 camaro) that has been machined. it has a texas speed f35 cam, gm performance ls7 lifter kit,tsp hardened pushrod kit, melling high volume oil pump kit, melling high performance engine bearing kit, meahle gm oe overhaul kit. It is DOD deleted.
