03 Silverado Nembie here to the v8 stuff. I recently pulled the 4.3 v6 out of my 03 Silverado cateye 2 door base and put in a cammed 5.3 out of a 04. My 03 came factory dbc also.
First question is will the 4l60e trans bolt up and work on the 5.3 without changing the flywheel or torque converter? Or do I need a 5.3 torque converter? I honestly plan on upgrading later for the 4l80 or manual swap it but that's another day.
Also I have the wiring harness from the 04 truck that I took with the engine, should I use this harness and convert the truck to dbw or would it be easier to stay dbc and get a new harness? I do have the throttle pedal and module as well. Also have the ecu too.
