Prepping ls2 for insertion into 67 nova Probably not the right forum, but before sticking this guy in and hopefully not pulling back out for some time, I'm looking to do some work to the engine. It looks to be sweating oil from about every gasket. Nothing major, but unsure if the seller went to extreme efforts to hide it or what. What level of effort will it be to tear down and replace most of the gaskets to ensure no more leaks. I'd like to paint it once this is done. It looks like I can buy the rebuild gasket kit and just replace everything. This came from a 2005 gto with about 75k miles. Newbie, forgive my ignorance! Thanks!

No, but you will need new bolts as these are one time use.
If it is good I wouldleave them alone - just mask off.
I bitterly regret not painting my L84 Pontiac Blue when I had the heads off to swap the cam.
