New guy, 1st swap
I have used this site for many things up to this point and am thankful for all the answers I have been able to get so far. I'm getting closer and hoping to have this moving on the road soon. I'm putting in, what I believe is a 1998 Camaro LS1, 5.7 into a 1986 K5blazer. I took the motor to a shop and had it rebuilt and am mating it with a 4l80. Below are some pictures of where I currently am. I was wondering if anyone could post any pictures of a completed one would look like before the covers are on them so I can see where lines are running? I also have several questions I was hoping someone could answer. Thank you all in advance.
1). In the picture below that is circled the part that screws to the block is missing, where do I get one of those and what is it called? Also where does the line coming off the throttle body go to?
2) there are two more ports on the throttle body, one on the bottom front passenger side and one on top front drivers side. there were rubber lines hooked to both but also don't know where those go.
3). Is there a throttle cable that anyone has used for my application?
4). there are also 2 vacuum ports coming out of the passenger side heads, front and back that I don't know where those run to.
Thanks
1). Those ports in the heads are for a steam lines and need to be hooked to the radiator. The port on the throttlebody is fresh air for the PCV system.
2) Those can be left alone. Stock they had coolant passing through to heat up the air for the colder climates. Not necessary for LS swaps.
3). I used a Lokar 36" for my swaps, but you may need a longer one for your application.
4). Those are also part of the PCV, so you'll need the proper hoses and route them correctly. Plenty of stock diagrams out there.
Good luck with the swap! What are you doing for your EFI?

Sorry for the delayed response. Appreciate the info. I'm not so sure I'm up on the correct terms but if you're asking what injectors I'm running I just got some 42lb bosch injectors. I do need to look up the PCV diagram to make sure I nail that.
BTW - That is a Lokar sleeve just behind the TB cable mount. So very likely a Lokar was used before.
