6.0 truck build
I have a 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 with the 5.3L with just at 400k miles and it’s starting to have some issues that could end up being major.
That being said I have in my shop a 6.0L aluminum block from I believe it was a 06 GTO that I got when I was still working on cars. The plan always was to build this for my truck but life happened. The block was overbored .030 by a very reputable place. I have the original heads but I think they are trashed haven’t had them checked yet. The truck is a daily driver and some light towing. I’m looking for about 450rwhp +/- NA on 87 octane if possible. Already planning to upgrade the transmission.
I need help putting this build together. As budget friendly as I can be.
What heads to use been reading the LS3 68cc may be a good option.
A good cam I don’t want an aggressive cam something that sounds good yea but nothing with a loud aggressive lope.
I already have new Wisco pistons and Eagle rods that I had gotten back then. I can get the specs on them later as I’m not home at the time of this post. Also not opposed to getting different ones.
Intake? Lifters? Crank? Conversion Parts? Etc
I know the accessories and brackets will transfer over from my 5.3. I have a local place that can do the retune.
I'm sure there’s a lot of things I’m overlooking that you all will point out but that’s why I’m here.

Pretty sure your 5.3 is a 24 tooth. 6.0 I am not sure. (Could be a 58 tooth)
if different, not end of the world, but will need an adapter.
