LS3 530hp Swap Hi All,
Have a stock 69 Firebird and was thinking of LS3 swap with BluePrint Engines LS3 530HP (PSLS376EFI) and a 4L60E trans. Has anyone swapped with this engine? Does anyone know or can estimate the MPG the engine will get?

For that price point you could get a used Ls3 / 4l80e and still have money left over. The 4l60e was a terrible trans and they just dont hold the power without tons of problems and $$ dumped into it. Those engine packages are extra pricey and since these engines are so reliable it doesnt make much sense to buy new unless you’ve got money to burn. You can also get a used Lt1/5 with the 10 speed and really have your cake and eat it.
