Default 1998 Z28 Dash wiring

I just bought a 1998 z28 roller and it doesn’t have an engine or transmission. The engine harness was removed. The c220 and c230 are disconnected and I’ve found out that they control the dash gauges. Is there in way to wire the gauges direct or get them to work without the factory harness. I’m not putting the factory motor or ecm in this car.

depends on what year 98, whether the dash is analog or digital requiring canbus. the short answer is you can get a 97 dash gauge cluster and should be easier.

Is the 97 dash cluster analog?

Why not a Holley dash and EFI kit?

I'm not running efi, it’s going to be a blowthru carb setup.

Correct. There are 98 analog gauge pods too. I believe they have analog mileage vs. digital. but harder to find. Safer with all the 97 and that includes firebird/transam too. This guy is your friend for all that and where I learned all of it myself years ago. 4th Gen LT1 F-Body Tech Aids (shbox.com)
