New Guy Question Hello hope everyone is doing well. I came across this forum randomly because I've started looking into what it takes to do engine swaps. My question is I have a 2008 Cadillac STS with the Northstar V8 and I was wondering if I could possibly do anything to it like put a Corvette or Camaro engine in it?
Its probably not worth it since your car is front wheel drive. You can look for an Ls4 and keep it front wheel drive if your ok with it otherwise your looking at serious chassis work to convert to rear wheel drive.

Well, a lot of the stuff we discuss here and help with will apply to LS4 engines too.
I would start with confirming that the LS4 is no wider and no wider than the Northstar. And learning if the LS4 will bolt up to your transaxle. Or needs an adapter which would require more room for the engine length.
Have you checked if anyone else has done this yet? I would think so, as this sounds like a "straight forward" swap compared to some that are discussed here.
