took out the junk cracked Iron 5.7 and installed an aluminum 5.3

 

I've thought about doing this a number of times! Kudos to you on getting one done, that thing is sweet. What's your total investment in the project?

 

I paid 1500 for the boat/trailer and have about $3000 in the swap roughly, well I don't have that much in it because most of the parts I had on the shelf but that's about what it would cost to do it again. The manifolds where the biggest expense as you cannot get them any other way but new unless you get really lucky I suppose. There about $1200 for the cheapest ones you can get.
