Just swaped an LS1 into my 79 Camaro was a sbc then a bbc now an LS. I used the GM performance zbar pivot ball bracket (ssbc I think). Solid motor mounts. My issue is that the zbar from the subframe to the block is straight but angled down an inch or two. BBC bell, Muncie m21. It seems like the engine needs to be atleast an inch higher. Everything I’ve seen online are just people saying that it’s angled front/rear.
Don't know if this helps but here's a pic of my 73 with a LS3/TKO 600 combo mechanical clutch linkage.
I fabbed the cross shaft, subframe mount and 3/8"rod end linkage. I tried to use a SDPC adapter that bolts to the back of the LS head. But not enough room. It hit the firewall. I used the bolt hole on the back of the cylinder head.
Once adjusted never had to touch it again.
