Default LS headers for 81 camaro

What LS headers are everyone running in their 75-81 Camaros? I need 1 7/8. I was going to go with the Holley LS swap ones but they stopped making them for 75-81 Camaros and only sell early second gen ones. The early second gen headers hang lower on the 75-81 cars because of the floorboard design.

Speed Engineering is going to be the best cost effective swap.

Another choice is Doug’s Headers. O-ring flanged collecter, tight to the floor. They recommend their swap plates but not really needed. If you what to see fitment, I have them in my build thread under Jimbo1367. Mine are in a 70 Camaro though.

Speed Engineering on my LS swapped 80 Camaro. Fit was great. 1 3/4". Don't hang down below the subframe connectors. I did have to ding the floor pans a bit for a bit more clearance for the ox sensors.
Pic of both sides.
My only complaint is that on the drivers side was that the front two tubes come really tight bend wise. Wouldn't have had to.

I’m actually wanting a coated header. Looks like my only options are the Doug’s ceramic coated headers. Luckily they also make engine mounts and transmission crossmember for my car. Their instructions do say though that if I’m running a 4l80e (which I am) then I will have to cut/grind some of the case edge.

What makes you say you need 1 7/8? Just curious what the setup is... Many oversize things when not needed. (not saying that's the case here)

The builder of the engine (Borowski Racing) it’s a 700-740hp engine depending on the head choice.
