Help with tuning
I have a 99 Camaro ss 5.7 & previous owner had it switched from manual to austomatic and never had the right kick down cable and put a 700r4 in it so today it’s gonna be removed and then we’re gonna put a 4L60E in it from a 2000 gmc sierra v6 that was rebuilt about a year ago and I bought a new harness cause the old one wasn’t even connected to the transmission and wasn’t the right one I don’t think for my car so when I connect everything I was told I’ll have to get it told it’s an automatic and don’t know what to say to a shop when I ask what I need done without sounding stupid lol and if I can do it myself I would like to if it’s cheaper. It’s cammed but don’t know the specs but will shortly and I do know this from the owner prior to the most recent one lol: it’s around .600 lift and .285 duration. Heads are ported LS1 2.02/1.60 with Cometic gaskets, Manley Valves and I think Comp valve springs, forged JE pistons with Manley forged rods and a forged crank but I don’t remember the brand. Strange 12-bolt rear and axles with 3.73 gears.& It had Hotchkis suspension all around at the time. Everything that came from the factory was replaced except for the springs and those were Eibach. & The motor was 11-1 compression so it should run pump 93 on the street.
