LS crossover exhaust pipe?

LS crossover exhaust pipe? I just had an LS conversion done on my 65 GMC truck, 2004 out of a Taho. We put a Truck Norris cam in it with Porter round mufflers. It pops and cracks like glass packs when you get into the throttle. The exhaust shop is telling me this MUST have a crossover or X-pipe in the system to eliminate this popping sound. I understand it helps with scavenging from cylinders to balance them, but is it necessary to eliminate this glass pack sound? They told me it would do this with any muffler, Borla, Magnaflow, etc. Can any one confirm or deny this before I spend more money? Thanks!!
Get a new exhaust shop, lol. That’s total nonsense. It may quiet it down a bit, but it has to do with the tune. Decel fueling and or timing durring decel. Has nothing to do with “h” “x” or muffler.
I can make mine do it or not no matter what exhaust is installed. You just can’t hear it if you have quiet mufflers. If you can’t tune the car then you are stuck with it to some degree. If you can, any decent tuner can tune that out.
