What I’ve acquired so far:
-2010 L9H 6.2 (VVT, 54# Flex fuel injectors). NO AFM.
-All the parts to completely overhaul it with Mahle flat tops and Cometic .040 gaskets.
-Katech Rod bolts.
-Gen V tensioner w/Katech solid insert.
-Oil pressure sensor relocation block.
-All new GM sensors and Cam Phaser.
-GPI VVT cam (216/226 .552/.552 113).
-BTR .560 springs.
-Comp VVT limiter
-Holley Midmount w/SD7 compressor, Alt, PS pump, and ATI balancer.
-Holley LS3 single plane and fuel rails.
-LS Classic fake points type distributor kit.
-Mamo ported truck throttle body.
-PSI conversions throttle body and air cleaner adapter.
-Olds/Caddy Batwing style air cleaner.
-1.5” air cleaner drop base.
-aFe 15x4 dry type air filter.
-98-02 F body oil pan.
-Improved racing windage tray and oil pan baffle.
-POL rear mount aluminum fuel tank.
-Holley sniper 340lph fuel pump module.
-Racetronix 58psi fixed Fuel Regulator.
-Radium Engineering rail mount fuel damper.
-Advanced Fuel Dynamics flex fuel sensor.
-3/8 inlet/outlet EFI fuel filter.
-2014/15 Z28 factory Tri-Y headers and cat pipes.
-Mattson Aluminum swap radiator with AC condenser
and oil cooler.
-Engine and Trans swap crossmembers.
-Rack and pinion setup for solid axle.
-CPP Frame mount hydroboost PB assembly.
-2010 6L90 from Chevy Express Van.
-E38 PCM from 2008 Escalade.
-E38 PCM from 2010 Express van.
-1957 Oldsmobile 9.3” Rear axle housing.
-1962 Pontiac 9.3” center with 3.08 and Posi.
-CPP 12” front brakes with Wilwood 2 piston calipers.
-Posies lowering leaf springs front and rear.
-New shackles and pins and new GM kingpins.
-58 GMC PS/Auto steering column.
-15” 60’s C10 Steering wheel
-Late 50’s GM Mason jar style washer fluid bottle.
-Comp open style valve cover adapters to use vintage Pontiac valve covers.
-Pontiac finned style aluminum valve covers with breather holes.
-Chrome valve cover breather with hose port for drivers side.
-Chrome regular breather for passenger side.
-Improved racing CSS catch can.
-3/8 hose with 2.5mm restrictor from drivers side breather to catch can and from catch can to air cleaner base.
What I still need to get:
-Wilwood rear disc brake kit
-Dakota digital GMC RTX Gauge cluster
-Old Air Products 55-59 GMC AC retrofit kit without compressor and condenser.
-Dakota digital cruise control kit
-American Autowire Update Harness
*Dual or Single brushless PWM fans (Volt or Silverado or C7. Still trying to figure out which ones are best for my needs.
*EFI/Trans Speed Density Harness. Still trying to narrow down which brand.
-HD driveshaft. Can’t order until drivetrain is in so I can measure.
*Stainless Mufflers. Trying to decide which ones I want.
-Vintage looking Coolant recovery tank
*Radiator hoses
*Plumbing for PS/Hydroboost setup
*Plumbing for trans cooler
*Custom tuning. Will be using Bluecat or Nicks LSX because they’re local to me.
My questions are:
1) I’d prefer to use the twin 12” later Chevy Volt Spal fans with PWM variable speed control with AC trigger.
Will the E38 PCM allow this? I’ve read numerous posts from different sites and from what I gather the Volt SPAL’s will accommodate this if using the fan harness from the Volt. Am I correct?
If not, would it be better to use the single 14” C7 fan, or possibly the a single 16” Silverado Bosch fan?
2) Will I need to use a trinary switch for the AC to work with the PWM Brushless fan(s)?
3) Wiring schematic for fans and AC?
4) I’d like to have the tow/haul feature. Would I be better off to incorporate the BCM from a vehicle that had a Gen IV LS, 6L90, and used an E38 PCM?
How hard would this be to integrate?
My fuel system plan is as follows: From pump module to filter with feed line. From filter to regulator inlet. Out of bottom of regulator with 3/8 return back to fuel pump module. From regulator outlet to 4 way distribution block mounted to passenger side fuel rail. Fuel damper on distribution block. Crossover line to other fuel rail. Each fuel rail deadheaded with plug. Shader valve in drivers side plug to check fuel pressure. Will this work ok? I’d really prefer not to have a crossover on the front of the rails for aesthetic reasons.
Also, let me know any suggestions or concerns I may be overlooking.
Thanks,
