Brake Booster Question
I am currently prepping my firewall on my 1966 Chevy II and would like to run a booster on my brakes. I own an L33 engine I intend to put in. I see many people running master cylinders with no boosters on LS engines. Is this because a booster will push the master cylinder too far forward and into the cylinder head? Would something like this work for me? I have Willwood disc brakes on all 4 wheels.
Just a side note on why you might not see a traditional booster on some swaps though...some folks will opt for hydroboost rather than a traditional vacuum booster.
with a medium size cam.. Both had C5 brakes all around.
On the red 67 I used a booster with a C5 master.
The black 67 I used a Wilwood manual master.
Wilwood prop valves on both.
Both worked well.
The only real difference is that the manual brakes required a bit more pedal pressure
