I am having the hardest time installing my ls3 in my 70 Camaro. I bought the Hooker Engine swap mounts part no. 12512hKR and swapped out the old frame mounts to the Hooker clamshell engine mounts part no. 71221004HKR with Engegy Suspension poly inserts part no. 3.11G. I drilled out hte new holes in the cross member using the template that came with the Hooker mounts. However, as you can see from the pictures, the hooker mount tabs are wider than the motor mount locations on the crossmember. I dont know what is going on but the instructions on the hooker products is worthless. Any advice? Im pretty close to scrapping these mounts altogether and going with a different set up ...Ive spent way too much time trying to figure these out.
