99 Jimmy LS1 Swap ??????

99 Jimmy LS1 Swap ?????? Ok here is the story from the begining. I am a honda guy , I have done many engine swaps and turbo installations again on hondas.
A client/friend has a 99 GMC Jimmy 4x4 auto. I have just finished a motor swap,LSD,and turbo kit in his 92 Prelude. He has his jimmy in the shop getting a big lift a big tires installed at a suspension shop. Sorry I dont know what exactly.He asked me to price out a S/C for his 4.3L. I jokingly said lets install a LS1 and turbo it. Now I cant talk him out of it. i love challenges, so that is why I am here to seek some info on what I am getting myself into. If anyone has any links or info on the swap it would be greatly appreciated.
Import bashing is also welcome as I love to here about how ricers suck. it makes me laugh. I appreciate all types of vehicals and the work that goes into them. So take care and keep the shiney side up.

First I would recommend a visit to v8s10s.com. There you can see some examples, as well as pickup a manual for swapping the LS1 in to the S-series trucks.
Then you might check out s10forum.com and post in the V8 section. There is a guy in there that just finished up a turbo LS1 truck, and there are several other people that have done and are very firmiliar with the LS1 swap in to these vehicles.
Your biggest obsticles are going to be the front crossmember, A/C interference with the frame, and headers.

thanks for the reply I will check those sites out.
Once you get the engine installed and want to tackle the turbos. Check out the forced induction section of this site as well as the PCM tuning section. Tuning an LS1 for forced induction is a little tricky so ask lots of questions.

Thanks, once everything is in and running the plan so far is a large single turbo. I am not sure which one. once i have looked at some compressor maps and see what other people are using, i will base my decision from that. Please keep the info rollin in.
