Default LS6/T56 question

I want to put a LS6 corvette motor in my BMW M3 race car. I think I can save weight, improve the balance and get some serious power. 400hp in a car weighing just under 2400lbs sounds like real fun!!

Can you easily bolt up a T56 six speed to an LS6 block? I was assuming the LS1 and LS6 were the same basic layout. I looked at an LS1 but the accessory layout on the Corvette better meets my needs and I plan on using a Corvette dry sump setup that replaces the A/C. I guess another option would be to get an LS1 and all the mounting brackets from a Corvette.

the blocks are completely interchangeable. In fact, some 2001-02 F-bodies came from the factory with LS6 blocks. Performance-wise however, either block works equally well.
