Are long-tubes a possibility for me???

Are long-tubes a possibility for me??? Ok, now that my swap is sooo near completion, I'm looking into the next step ----> MODS! 
Ultimately I want to do a full heads/cam swap, but I am going to need something to replace these ugly, dinky manifolds so my engine can breath!
Ideally, of course, I'd love a set of long-tubes. I'm almost sure I'd have room for a set too, I just dont know how to go about measuring to figure that out.
How much larger (mainly how much lower do they go) than the stock manifolds. Does anyone know how much extra horizontal and vertical clearance are needed for any of the Vette/F-body longtubes that are available???
I have about 4 inches of extra horizontal space between the manifolds and body, but my biggest concern is ground clearance... my car is short and low. This info would be MUCH appreciated.
