Starter wiring question

Starter wiring question I have a Painless wiring harness and there are two red wires (zip-tied together) that are supposed to go to the "big" terminal on the starter. The "big" one I assume is the positive power terminal, which also connects directly to the battery.
What are those two wires for? Is this how the PCM is getting its power?
Do I just use the original 69 ignition wire to fire up the solenoid input terminal?
Just want to make sure before trying to start the engine for the first time.

I think I may have answered my own question. I put those two wires onto the battery terminal and turned the ignition to "on" and the SES light now comes on like it should. All I need to do now is route the ignition/starter wire to the solenoid signal terminal and it should fire up.
