headers for 69 chevelle

headers for 69 chevelle anyone make good long tube headers for a 6.0 swap? i actually plan on turning the 6.0 into a 408/427 so i'm gunna need some good flow on the exaust. one guy told me that a set of hooker headers made for the car will work fine regardless if there's a gen3 motor in it or not. i'm a bit skeptical on that but it would save one helluva headache if he was right.
The exhaust port spacing on a Gen III motor is unique and standard big block or small block headers will not fit. You can have them modified to fit for a small fortune. But first check with Stainless Works and Year One. I remember seeing several different LS1 headers available from Stainless Works, but can't remember for what cars.
I would imagine that with an engine bay that large, just about any of our current LS1 headers would work. Also, remember that the 5.3L/6.0L truck engines are the same, and they also make quite a few truck headers out there as well.
