Default LS1 wiring problems

Swapping a 2000 LS1 into a 1997 Z28. The LS1 was complete with motor, tranny and PCM. Connections on the wiring were very similar but obviously not close enough because the car wont start. Does anyone know what the problem might be and what needs to be done to straighten this out. Thanks.

Jon

Wow...you just plugged it in without mapping the connector pins? And didn't smoke any electronics?

If you didn't bring the '00 BCM over, it may be a simple VATS issue and someone w/ a Tech-2 tool can drop the PCM into VATS password learn mode?

Otherwise, it's time to either:

1.) Buy Helms books for both the 1997 and 2000 cars, and start mapping connector pinouts.

2.) Hit alldata.com and buy wiring diagrams (maybe same data as the Helms?)

3.) Contact Speartech and see if he offers harness conversion service for your application.
