Anyone using Corvette manifolds in a 1st Gen?

Anyone using Corvette manifolds in a 1st Gen? New here, so please bear with me. Did a search and could find an answer on this. I am about to purchase an LS1 for my 67 Camaro. Was gonna go with this one: http://www.sdpc2000.com/catalog/120/...e-Assembly.htm
with a new 4L65E.
Just picked up a Dec issue of Car Craft where they dyno this engine. Article states it has Corvette style manifolds, and that they flow well. Question is, will they fit in a 1st Gen with stock steering?
Also thinking of going with Corvette accesories, as they look that they might fit without modifying the crossmember.
Trying to gather information, and parts, and will (hopefully) start the swap right after the first of the year.

Welcome to the forum Virgil. My conversion is a '55 chevy so I can't help you much with the Camaro but there are plenty of folks around here that can. For clearance reasons, I'm using the Vette accessories on my engine. This puts the alternator up high on the drivers side. I don't have air yet but some day I'll get it high on the pass side. Be aware that when you decide to go with Vette or F-body accessories, you can't mix them since the belt grooves won't line up and the crank pulleys are different. Vette drive belt is closer to engine.
You also may want to check Street and Performance website if you haven't already. They put a LS1 in a '69 Camaro and has a link to the project on their home page http://www.hotrodlane.cc/ . They sell a lot of good parts but they are a little too expensive for me.
