clutch for my ls1 conversion 6 speed What clutch kit should I go with in my ls1 with a 6 speed. My motor should make about 400 horse at the wheels so I need a clutch that will hold up to that much power.
The cheapest decent clutch is the LS6 (ZO6) one. It can be bought with flywheel and pressure plate from dealer sponsors for ~$300. Drag racers will tell you that it stinks and doesn't hold but if you aren't racing/launching the car, it should do just fine on the street. Your other options are Spec, McLeod, Ram, etc. Check with some sponsors over on the right ----->
If you DO plan on launching and racing and such, look into a Spec Stage 3. it'll hold 450+ rwhp easy. i'm not even pushin 350rw but if i launch too hard this clutch feels like i'm gonna tear the rear end apart(stock ten bolt).

The car will go up to the drag strip twice a year. I want to make sure that it holds up. I have a 12 bolt with good axles and I have gone 11.4 with the car with a big block so I know the car can take it. My weak point will be the t56 and the clutch. I want to be able to go to the strip and use another 100 shop if I have to.
