Default 84 Silverado Questions

I have a 1984 Chevy Silverado in storage that I'm planning on rebuilding. As it sits, I will need to replace the motor & tranny to get it running. The question is, I've got an extra 4L60E, a set of LS1 heads (complete) and all the leftovers from a top end 98/99 to 00-02 head conversion along w/ intake & exhaust manifolds sitting in the garage doing nothing. What else will I need to put the LS1 in the truck? Economically, am I better off just rebuiling a 305 & 700R4? Money is always an issue, but if it won't be much more, I would love to run the LS1. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kevin
