Default Dismantling LS1 fuel pump unit.

So I am grafting the stock camaro pump onto my RX tank...

I have fabricated a bracket that will work perfectly, except one problem... I cant get my steel plate over the LS1 pump basket, and I have no f-ing idea how to get the pump apart...

I basically need to take the top completely off, slide my adapter in, and put the basket part back with the top part...

Can anyone help please? I could not find anthing by searching...

Why not just use a MAZDASPEED (or aftermarket) 255 LPH fuel pump kit?
It worked very well for my LS1/FC, and fuel line hook-up wasn't a problem.

California smog...

Aftermarket FPRs are illegal, and the camaro FPR is in the tank, along with the Fuel tank pressure sensor and EVAP return.

All things I need to pass CA smog and get the car legal on the road.

I had no idea california emision laws where so tuff of vehicles.
EVAP's and Cats are usually the first thing to get tossed up here (ie: no emision testing).

You can add a 255 lph pump to the stock sending unit with a little modification. Not to hard to do.
