Different engine under TBI
I just started thinking on it so maybe I manage to oversee something too obvious to miss. The plan my brain concocted goes something like this:
I wanna put a 305 or 350 TBI engine in my 1950 Custom Plymouth. Pretty decent mileage, nice overdrive transmission etc, etc, etc... Somewhere in the corner of my garage is a Early Hemi engine. I want to put that thing together and put it in place of the TBI engine in the future. Would it be possible to put all the sensors into the hemi, screw that throttle body on top of it's manifold and go cruising? I mean, the hemi will get a Chevy HEI distributeur and a Chevy waterpump, the displacement is roughly the same... The computer gets it's info from all sensors, and figures out the right timing and fuel situation, right?
Wouldn't that be cool?
