Default LQ4/LQ9 in a B-Body

I have a 1995 Buick Roadmaster wagon that I am currently thinking about doing an engine swap on. I plan to locate a 6.0 out of a 3/4 ton and replace the 130,000 mile LT1. I have a newly built tranny in the car right now (4L60), and I would like to retain that. I know that the mounts are out there to bolt the trans into the frame, but I am curious about accesories. What can I swiotch over? What do I need to do in order to use my converter? Remember, I don't intend to drag race this monster, just looking for a good tow vehicle/daily driver. I'm also reasonably sure that I can use the factory 6.0 intake under my stock hood. Does anybody have any feedback for me?

Thanks in advance, Josh.

If you run the LQ4, LQ9. Run a LS1 oilpan, windage tray, and pickup tube set-up. It will make getting it in there easier.

Matt,

Where's the best place to buy the pan, tray, and pick up? How much should I expect to pay? Also, is the LS1 pan a direct bolt on?

Thanks,

Andy1

Ebay and on here. I bought mine used on here for 130 US shipped with oil pan, windage tray, and pickup tube. I went to the local GM here and got a quote for the same deal... Came to 580Canadian.

As far as direct bolt on, Yes BUT you need the windage tray and pickup tube for it to work. I'm not really sure if the sensor on the pans switch over. I'm pretty sure they do though. The LS1 sensor shows that it crosses over as the same part # as the Hummer H2 (with the LQ9 6.0).
