Default Good price for a ls1

Hey i found a 2001 ls1 with 30k miles on it for 2800. Just wondering if that sounds like a pretty good test. Guy said he would do a leak down test for me too. Anything else to ask.

Thanks
Justin

I picked up a 2000 LS1/4L60E attached out of a Camaro SS for $3K. It only has 5K miles on it since the Guy has had it in his garage for a couple years. It came with the computer and harness as well as alt, ps, and a/c.

Your sounds like a good deal too!

Mike

Depends on what it comes with. Wiring, PCM, accessories (alt, water pump, PS pump, A/C compressor, starter), sensors, intake, injectors + rail, etc?

Make sure he doesn't squirt oil into the cylinders before he runs leakdown test. I can make an cyl w/ a blown #1 ringland hold 80%+ with enough 20W-50 down the plug hole.

I bought my LS1/4L60E, all accessories and wiring minus the computer, 12K miles for about 3K. Your deal sounds good as long as he can verify the miles. Hope this helps

Thanks, he's doing the leakdown test this weeknd i might just ask if i can come up and watch. Yes it comes with everthing from pan to intake to pcm. He said he got it from a insurance salvage auction. I would hope the guy is pretty honest its from a sponser(tim at eadperformance).

I also found a ls1 with 3k miles on it for 3300 what you think about that one. Do you think the ls1 with 33k miles for 2800 or 3k miles for 3300 would be a better buy. I would make sure both would do a leak down test and make sure both can verify miles.
