Default 2nd gen headers

im putting an ls1 in a 73 firebird formula. who makes longtubes for it? how do you like them? hows your ground clearance? steering clearance? you know all the typical questions. remind me if i forgot something. thanx joel

Use the LS1 Hooker LT's. If you use the S&P style mounts you'll be tight on the pass. side but with a little "convincing " you should be good to go.

has anyone tried putiing 4th gen headers on a 2nd gen?

My clearance is very good . I believe the FLP headers (LT's) are a little lower. I plan on lowering the car about 2'' so I should be OK. Since selling my '01 SS I moved the '74 Camaro into the garage so much easier to get around. I won't be jumping over speed bumps but the clearance should be exeptable.
