Wooo Hooo!! Our third 1991 thirdgen about to receive an LS1 in the same week! |

WILL ANY TACH ADAPTER WORK??? because theres nothing really spicified onebay about what car its for? |
The LS1 has a 4cyl signal , any adapter that allows you to adapt a 4cyl signal to an 8cyl signal will work. |

well heres the story i baught a ls1 for a guy i no , the motor had 9500 miles on it , he slod the rear end and motor to me for $ 2100 wich is a steal cuz its fully assembeld it came with raidiator trans cooler, motor mounts wich didnt help me, stock air box, manifolds y pipe, inline fuel pump and relay, ecm . for 2100 i thought it was a good deal? any ways thats why i was going to use the in line pump cuz it cam with the motor? i dont want it to be a hack job alouth im not a pro at this but have a lil experience with cars. but the inline will work im just trying to save a few bucks cuz i already have the pump! |
one more quick Q about the tach signal it say if the car had a different amount of cylinders ? the car had a 305 in it ? im not the best with electrical so thats why im asking |
what is this "LS1" out of? the fbody ones have a intank pump.. and i assume the vettes did too... i dont know about the trucks.... |
it was pulled from a 99 z 28! |

why dose it have a ground and a pos wire running from it? thanks for clearing the tach signal thing up! |
the fuel pump has a black foam coating around it and has fitting on each end and looks nothing like the intank pumps ??? |
not to keep jumping form topic to topic but i have so many Q i dont want to forget them! what r u using for a air filter set up? and do i need a fuel pressure regulator?just wanted to post these before i forgot dont need answer on them right away i want to figure out the fuel pump first |
Originally Posted by LS1rscamaro why dose it have a ground and a pos wire running from it? thanks for clearing the tach signal thing up! it does have a ground wire/strap... no positive connection.

Originally Posted by LS1rscamaro and do i need a fuel pressure regulator? https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-swaps/299420-fuel-delivery-questions.html yes you need the pressure regulated.... easiest and cheapest method is a corvette filter/regulator.... the regulator is built into the filter.... and because the filter is ment to be replaced, its cheap.... |
