Default Extreme gauge conversions?

Anyone know of a gauge shop that can install new electronics behind the face of an existing factory gauge? I want to maintain my stealthy stock appearance with my LS1 Mustang project

oh its simple. Just get creative. Cut the face off of your new gauges and pull out the motor and set-up for say the factory tach. Put the new gauge in place only so the needle sticks through and works like the factory needle. Find a way to mount it and your good to go. Do this for all your gauges. lol. Hard but would be actually pretty trick.

Redline Gauge Works converted my 1935 Ford gauges to electronic......awesome job, they look perfectly original and are now compatable with my electronics

Why won't the stock gauges work? The stock V8 tach will work, and with a little fiddling I'm sure you can use a stock mustang water temp/oil pressure sensors in the LS1 to run the gauges. The biggest hurdle will be the speedo, but even there you can use a "electronic to cable" converter box from Jaguars That Run or the equivalent.

You need a tac that will pick up a low volt 4 cyl signal.

I sent my gauge cluster into Dakota Digital to get gauges built for it. It should be pretty sweet, but it takes 3 months for them to do custom gauges, and a decent chunk of money. I am still waiting on getting them back, hope its all worth it. But all of this doesnt help you any if you want to keep your stock gauges.
