A Cutlass would be the same as a Monte Carlo (a G-body). John B here on the forum sells mounts, and you need a trans crossmember for the 4L60e, assuming you are going with an automatic. Search for Monte Carlo within the Conversions section, and you'll find plenty of info.

Pretty much every question you may have has already been asked and answered here. LS1tech.com should be your first source to search on any question.

Good luck! A Cutlass (especially a 442 or Hurst/Olds) would be wicked cool with an LS1 engine in it.

What year is the car? If it's a '70 Cutlass, then it's an A-body. If it's an '86 Cutlass, it's a G-body. This will make a big difference.

I was the one that called it an A-body. The car in question is a 71 which I'm positive is an A-Body car.

For some reason, I had my mind on the G-bodies, and didn't consider that it was older. You're right.

Welcome aboard! The 78-81's are called "A" and the '82 thru '88 are "G" Bodies.

Try this link for a complete rundown on the swap you're after http://www.montecarloss.com/ls1montecarloss/

Let me know if you'd like a bolt-in set of motor mounts & oil pan!

The '64-'77 would be the "old" A-body as well, right? Cutlass/442, Chevelle, Skylark etc. is what I'm thinking...
