I was looking through you pictures, totally badass. I'm doing a similar conversion and have a question. I like how you worked the bracketry for the shifter to get the shifter where you want it. It's all clear in the picture but what do you have anchoring the bottom of the shifter down, below the bracket on the plate below the shift ****?

Its like a small ball & socket joint, both parts had 3/8 threads on them.
I welded the socket part to 11G plate & bolted it down with 4 #10
screws. I think parts were from MSC.
Good luck with it

Check out the remote battery terminal block.
I saw this on the SLP ultra Z and started making them.

Extremely well done! How long time did you use? I'm thinking about doing something similar to my 80 / 77 Trans Am. Do you have any good tips?

It took me six months. I worked on it almost every day after work and that didn't include the body work and paint. You will need a donor car with a good front end and the wheel base is longer in the second gen. car so everything like the dash, shifter and steering column need to be lengthened. Look thru my pictures good because they tell the story. I also work in a machine shop so I can make custom stuff at work. Good luck. Feel free to ask me more questions if you need to.

02 formula here, buddy of mine has one too. Got a question though. If you read this, it sounds like there were no formulas in 2000. http://media.gm.com/division/canada/...0Firebird.html
and it was reintroduced in 2001.

Am I missing something here?
