Hello folks, I'm new to this forum. So you know i've done many engine/trans swaps on various vehicles. For example 63 impala LT1/4L60E, 65 el camino LT1/4L60E, 68 mustang fi5.0/AOD, 65 chevy pu 350/350, yada yada... the current project is 57 belair 98 f body LS1/4L60E. My questions are knock sensor where is it located, is there one, two, front of block, rear, rear of the motor mount..(my guess is its not currently on my engine); cam position sensor where is it located (under the intake manifold ???) if thats the case... procedure is remove injector plumbing or not & remove the manifold bolts to reveal the sensor ?? (is the intake gasket reuseable ??) The diaphram on the fuel injector rail (pressure regulator ??) according to my latest purchase the GM manual by Charlie Probst... references that its plumbed ahead of the MAF & not to intake manifold vacumn, is this correct. Thanks in advance for your combined guidance & wisdom. Mac

If using a 97-98 Corvette fuel rail (the only rail with an actual fuel pressure regulator), the vacuum nipple is either routed to a clean air source (as referred to in the Probst book) or simply left unhooked. It is not intended to be hooked up to a vacuum source.
