Default computer question

98 camaro ls1. car runs everything works. but every time we start the car and drive it, it feels like its loading up and hesitating. but after a few miles it goes away and everything is smooth!! im almost thinking that the computer is losing its memory everytime we shut the car off. does this correct? and help please!!! thanks

It could be the loss of "memory" but it also could be something like an injector leaking down when shut off.......dribbling fuel into the ports. On a restart the mixture would be all messed up for a short while until it cleared the excess fuel. Maybe you could begin by plugging a pressure gauge in and watching to see if the fuel pressure bleeds off abnormally when you shut it down. It should hold about 90% of it's rail pressure after 10-15 minutes.

any more ideas? is there a wire from the pcm that is for memory? or constant power? its a 98 pcm and harness...

There are actually two B+ PCM feeds, in C2 (Blue connector), pin #20 (an orange wire), the other is in C1, pin #61 of the red connector. It is also orange.

Actually they are both in the blue connector pins 20 and 61. thanks i checked both those and they are constant 12v. any other ideas guys? i really wish this thing would run right.

i still need to buy a fuel pressure tester.
