Default fuel lines

I have a 66 Nova With a 2001 z28 ls1 motor and m56 transmission and I'm using the 2001 fuel tank. I have three lines on the tank, vent, fuel in and fuel out. I have three lines on the motor as well. Can i just run lines to hook them together with an AC481 fuel filter or is there a better way? Looks like
GM used plastic lines would aluminum be safe to use?

Any idea of the routing of fuel lines and filter?

Are you really running an "m56" trans, as in C5 w/torque tube, etc? If you are I'd like to see some pics of your installation.
