Shift Linkage On 2000 Camaro A4
Shift Linkage On 2000 Camaro A4 I did a search and found nothing, so I was wondering if there was a conversion kit to convert a rod shift linkage to cable shift linkage? My new trans is cable shift and the column is bulit for rod shift linkage. The truck is a 1994 S10 and the motor is a 2000 Camaro LS1 A4. Thanks in adavance!
Well, if you have bucket seats, get a console/shifter setup out of an '96-up S10 Blazer. With some minor bracket making, it goes right in, looks factory, and has a cable operated shifter that was designed to operate the 4L60E. It has worked well for me.

I thought about that method but I would have to buy bucket seats and the console to make it work. That may come down the line but right now looking for an alternative. Thanks for the input, any other ideas.
I really think the bucket seat/ floor shifter idea is the way to go. I swapped a 6.0/4l80e into a fullsize 91 blazer and it was shifted by the rod off the collumn, and I searched and measured and remeasured and came up with brackets but never did figure out anything I could do to make it work. So since I already had buckets, I went with a B&M truck megashifter and it works flawlessly. I would suggest something like that other s10 blazer shifter because it sounds like it will work well and wont break the bank. Goodluck with whatever you do.

Aight guys I know this isnt directly related to ls1's but it is part of my ls1 conversion, so I was wondering if I can get a little help? I got my 2000 Olds Bravada center shift console in today and I cant figure out the wiring. It has 6 wires black, grey, red, yellow, green with black stripe and green with white stripe. Where are what does the wires do or is there a base plug to plug the connector in? Thanks for the help so far!!
