So how does this sound... I have been wanting to do an LS1/ RX7 swap for a while but the 3rd gens are still expensive and are becoming more common. For those of you that know what a subaru SVX is know it has a great interior and exterior, but an awful drivetrain. There is no aftermarket for the NA 3.3l and the AWD trannys are unreliable and are a $3000 fix. Stock they are a little over 3500lbs but if i can pick up a rolling chassis for under 1500 I figure converting it to RWD and the aluminum LS1 should help loose some weight.
I plan on upgrading to a 300zxTT differential because of strength (and its a larger model of whats in there, R230 instead of R180). I will need to get a custom driveshaft and axles made. I know im gonna need to fab up custom crossmember and motor mounts but what else am i missing besides wiring.
